Julie Sardonia, M.A., LMFT, is a licensed marriage family therapist. She has been practicing for 23 years in Ventura and Ojai. Her career has been in the mental health industry, both in the private and public sector. Julie was a Social Worker at Ventura County Children’s Protective Services, Program Coordinator for Vista Del Mar Hospital Assessment Services Department, and a private practice therapist for The Thacher School and Ojai Valley School. Over the past 10 years, Julie founded Reins of H.O.P.E., an Ojai based nonprofit serving at risk youth, active duty military, veterans, and their families utilizing Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Learning.
She was the Executive Director for the past 9 years but recently stepped down to be more involved in the clinical healing of the organization’s participants. As the new Program Coordinator for VFA, Julie is dedicated to support veterans in their journey of healing and reintegration into civilian life by matching them with internships and potential employment in the field of farming and agriculture throughout Ventura County.
